It's time to relaunch myself -- so I am madly creating code and reorganising stuff to fit my new paradigm.
The gist of the change is that I am ditching the love.law.robots moniker to just being myself. So I am shifting from the idea of producing a publication (like a blog) to being me. Already, I have used some form of "me" at least several times in the last three sentences.
After figuring out how to work this Buy Me a Coffee thing, I am going to work on my portfolio site, which will put my first name up front.
It's been a long journey pretending to be someone to being comfortable with myself, so even though followers have to suffer yet another change, I am convinced it's the right move.
Alas projects still have my expenses that need to be paid. Going through my experience with the Ghost blogging platform (which was quite wonderful honestly), I felt uncomfortable asking folks to pay for a blog, and others who sought to pay were really interested in what I did rather than write.
Instead, I am thinking about subscription projects, which provide something valuable/tangible in return. First up then, is Prompt Engineering for Lawyers, which I think is a timely and worthwhile endeavour, given that I am getting some competition for the Law Academy in Singapore.
Price wise, I pitch the pricing such that I can hit a price target for a certain number of subscribers. For example, the main cost of Prompt Engineering for Lawyers is the supabase auth connection, which isn't prohibitive. But if I get more subscribers, it's easier for me to upgrade to more robust hosting.
There's always going to be a supporters subscription which links to the other projects in general. For an airy-fairy subscription, I suppose being an all-in-one is going to be a good draw.
