Erase Your Fear

Erase Your Fear

Apr 08, 2024

How do you work through your fear? I know that it’s a lot to process through when detailing what scares you. For some, it’s the thought of failing and for others, it’s the words said behind your back. These two can actually manifest into the worse fear into your mind. It can cause you to lose control of yourself and your emotions, making you suddenly feel very worthless of everything that you are.

I’ve been there…I’ve felt that…and I once let it consume me to the point of not waking up or moving forward. I was so scared of judgement and backlashes that I kept myself in a corner where no one could hurt me and all I did was shield myself from words being spoken. I actually thought this was a very good method to protect myself. But in reality, it was a way to make myself comfortable and stop growing. It was a way for others to really grasp the idea that they were right about me. It was a way for others to own my dreams and my emotions.

It's not easy to remove yourself from this corner, especially if you’ve been there for a long time. It’s going to take practice and trust to gently pull yourself away. The question you first have to ask yourself is, “What is me being here doing to those who wish me negative thoughts?” They are actually winning while you fall behind. Pretty much every day when you allow yourself to fall behind due to their control, you end up letting their words become vines over your growth. It roots you down to where you cannot grow beyond anything and you become a fogged thought in your own big dream.

Lean on yourself and cut off the vines from them that you simply are going to fail. Failure has nothing to do with it rather the thought of others’ speaking of your failure. It’s the thought of will they laugh at me? Guess what…they’re already laughing anyways. So get up and tackle your dreams to make sure their laughter is the last act while you rise.

Fear can own you or you can learn to control it while it tries to gain ownership. It’s not easy, it’s not tomorrow, and it’s not pretty. But it can be done. Have you had enough of putting yourself on hold for fear of being talked about? Have you had enough of holding back? Have you had enough?

If your answer is YES…then STOP LIVING IN FEAR.
