I'm Roman Gottfried, the passionate founder of Holistic Dog Training (HDT) and Canine Trauma Healing (CTH). My journey into the world of canine trauma healing began with a deep love for dogs and a burning desire to impact their lives positively.
With years of education and dedication, I've honed my expertise in canine behavior and trauma recovery. I've undertaken specialized training through international programs. These experiences have given me the knowledge and skills to understand and address the unique needs of dogs facing trauma.
At HDT and CTH, I firmly believe in a holistic approach to dog parenting and healing. Drawing from principles such as Linda Michael's hierarchy of dog needs and the 'Do No Harm' philosophy, we integrate various elements like tailored training, nutrition as medicine, intuitive healing, dog parent education, and holistic environmental interventions. Together, these components form a comprehensive approach to help dogs recover and thrive faster.
Through case studies and real-life experiences, I've witnessed the transformative power of HDT and CTH in action. Our approach has yielded positive outcomes for dogs in various situations, offering hope and healing to those who have suffered.
This Program is also incorporated in the Texas Juvenile Justice Department's Dog program, which uses TBRI ( Trust-Based Relational Intervention ) for their children.
With an unwavering commitment to the well-being of dogs, I lead HDT and CTH in adapting to the diverse needs and backgrounds of these incredible animals. We utilize comprehensive assessments including trauma and attachment evaluation, and craft individualized management plans, guiding dogs through a journey of self-discovery and healthier thinking patterns.
While our journey continues, I remain dedicated to the principles of 'Connecting, Empowering, and Healing.' These principles are at the core of our mission at CTH, and I am thrilled to share this transformation journey with you."
