I created a series of motion design videos for FanCalendar.com highlighting a new free submission tier that has been added for film screenings, festivals and other pop culture events. It's basically the same animated handout applied to a couple of different surfaces. I also screen-recorded some of the new animated page templates available for premium submissions. This first video is the original animated handout design I created.
In this second video I took my original animated handout and applied it to an interior bar setting, giving it the effect of an old poster ad. I added the soundtrack here as well, a top forty stock audio track.
After creating the first design, I came up with the idea to render a second version with a tagline. I came up with the line "Successful event marketing campaigns require out of the box thinking!" I decided to skin the original motion design piece onto a box, with some adjustments to the original animation. This second design is being used in a separate campaign to test which design is more effective.
Along with the animated handouts, I took screen recordings of some of the new animated page options available for event listings and added those screenshot videos to the ads. I wanted to give people an idea of how their event pages will look when published to FanCalendar.com
