With all of your generous coffee, my mind is more alert lately — thank you! This morning, I remembered one of the reasons I renamed my newsletter The Highlighter way back in Issue #80. (Longtime subscribers, do you remember the switch?)
It’s not just that I like to “highlight” (i.e., feature) great articles and share them with thoughtful readers. It turns out, I literally like to highlight the things that I read.
Yes, this means that when I’m reading my physical copy of the newspaper, or my physical copy of The New Yorker, sometimes I break out a highlighter and dig in.
This was definitely the case for “Good Bread,” which I read in print before featuring it in Issue #239. Please feel free to zoom in and enjoy!
Do any of you do this too? Part of me says, “I hope so!”
One more time: Thank you for your coffee, your support of The Highlighter, and your loyal readership. We are building a strong, thoughtful community of readers here, and I’m really happy that you’re a huge part of it.
