Creating video to tell the stories of political prisoners in Russia.
"Help for Political Prisoners" is a dedicated initiative that supports Russian political prisoners, their families and activists. Our mission is to raise awareness of the plight of the politically persecuted in Russia and to mobilize help for them.
Currently, more than 4,452 people are being persecuted by the Russian state for their oppositional views, anti-war stance and actions. Since the outbreak of war in Ukraine on February 24, 2022, the machinery of repression has intensified further. More than 1,970 people have been persecuted for their stance against the war.
The story of each individual political prisoner is a poignant testimony to the personal struggle for freedom and justice in Russia, and each one deserves to be told in full.
