Not complaining at all because I love it, but often we romanticize the job we want without thinking of the reality. Here are five tools that I use daily to help keep this content creator life on the right track!
Somnote is a notetaking app that also syncs to your account so you can pull it up on a computer later. This is helpful is every area of my life! I don't know what I would do without Somnote. I have color coded folders that go with the different areas of business and life, like "UGC + Brands", "Content Notes" and even "Passwords" because ya girl can't remember them all! Let's be so for real. This app is free and I love it!
This might seem obvious, but I can't even begin to tell you how many new content creators are sleeping on Canva. Like wake up! You can use it for free and there are SO many templates available at your fingertips. Most of the editing is simple and drag & drop, so you don't need a degree to use it. I don't have a website as a content creator, and you really don't need one if you have a Linktree. It's literally what it sounds like. It's a digitial "tree" featuring various links to the different places you'd like people to go to. Period. That's it. You can post it on social media, and it drives traffic to the links. I can't tell you how many sales this has helped with because it's an easy layout of all the things rather than a crowded website. Also, the free version is enough! Go download it today.
Pinterest is not like any other social media platform because it's actually a highly curated search engine. You can them create boards to host these different "pins" you find, so when you need them again, you can easily access them. I have learned so much through Pinterest and it is a tool I all the time! Most content is user-generated so keep that in mind, however, if you want to learn about editing or get inspired for your media kit, Pinterest is where it's at!
