Über Hearts over Hands
mentoring youth & creating virtual recreation for families in need.
Hearts over Hands is a university student-run organization that provides virtual life-enrichment & supplementary education opportunities for children ages 6-16. Run entirely by a student leadership board of 7 and 280+ wonderful volunteers, our reach extends to 500 youth in California, Texas, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and more!
Ever since our launch in March 2020, our team has been covering the costs of operations out-of-pocket to ensure that our services will always be free, safe, and virtual for families in need. None of our volunteers are paid. As our team continues to work on our 1-on-1 mentoring service and after-school program workshops for our kids, we'll need all the help we can get from supporters like you.
By the end of 2021, we are looking to raise $1000 to cover a year's worth of costs on website maintenance, create a steady rainy-day fund, and further develop the quality of our educational and recreational workshops in topics including math, science experiments, reading, arts & crafts, dance, yoga, and music.
As university students, we understand that the impact of having a cheerleader in our Little Sibs' lives is incredible and long-lasting — whether that be through meeting weekly to chat about our days, or working on a set of difficult math problems together; whether that be making cookies together in an online baking class, or forming new friendships in creative writing workshops. Buy us a coffee today to ensure that we can continue to make these instances a reality for our community!
