Hearth Magazine is an independent magazine run by five students of English literature at Trinity College in Dublin. We hope to publish innovative and honest pieces ranging from poetry and fiction to personal essays. We want to do it all. Hearth is new. Hearth is personal. Hearth is made with love.

Our past issues are available to read for free on our Substack. Issue 3 will be released on our Substack over the coming months, and is also available to purchase online.

All funds generated from issue sales and donations go into future prints and helping to grow the Hearth community. Hearth Magazine is not in the pursuit of profits. Print media is becoming increasingly difficult to support in the modern digital world, and we only want to ensure the fire doesn't go out.

Here at Hearth we focus on community. Setting out on your writing journey is daunting, and sharing work is even more daunting. But there is a community full of writers and artists that are eager to listen and to help. At Hearth, through public, in-person, writing groups and an open, accepting ethos, we aim to create a space for bringing this community together, to foster an environment that accepts emerging writers with open arms. In Issue 1, we published a short story by the incredible, award-winning author John Banville, alongside pieces and artwork by numerous young and previously unpublished creatives. The following issues featured Kevin Power and Eloise Rodger as Featured Writers.
