Last weekend, my children and I shared in a simple ritual we hold sacred: lighting a candle for Paul, on his birthday.
We do this every year—just the four of us—sharing stories, laughter, and sometimes quiet tears. We remember his laugh, his love of music, his warmth. We speak his name and keep his memory alive in the most heartfelt way we know how: together, with intention, around the flame that glows for him.
This ceremony, though small, holds deep meaning. It’s our way of saying, you are still with us.
