I Built a Tool That Shows Who You Actually Talk to on X

Sep 28, 2026

I recently launched a new feature on xpaiming.com that I’ve wanted to build for a while:

X Interaction Circle.

The idea is simple:

You may follow thousands of people on X, but who do you actually interact with?

Your Following count doesn’t really show your social network.

You might follow 3,000 accounts, but over the past few weeks, you may have only replied to, mentioned, quoted, or reposted content from a few dozen people.

So I built a tool that turns those hidden interactions into a visual map.

See Your Real X Interaction Circle

You can try it here:

https://xpaiming.com/en/circle

Just enter any public X username.

The tool analyzes recent public interactions, including:

  • Replies

  • Quotes

  • Mentions

  • Reposts

It then identifies the accounts that user interacts with most frequently and turns them into a visual interaction circle.

No login is required.

No X account authorization is required.

It works entirely with publicly available activity.

The Closer Someone Is, the Stronger the Interaction

The avatars aren’t placed randomly.

Different types of interactions have different weights.

For example, a direct reply usually represents a stronger relationship than a simple repost, so replies receive a higher score.

Recency matters too.

A recent interaction contributes more than something that happened months ago.

Based on those signals, the tool calculates an Interaction Score for each account.

The higher the score, the closer that person appears to the center of your circle.

In other words:

The people closest to you are the people you actually interact with the most.

That makes this very different from simply looking at who you follow.

More Than Just a Data Chart

I didn’t want this to feel like another boring analytics dashboard.

The circle is designed to be visual, customizable, and shareable.

You can customize things like:

  • Avatar size

  • Number of accounts shown

  • Background style

  • Gradient effects

  • X handles

  • Ranking numbers

  • Interaction Scores

  • Connection lines

You can show a small circle of your closest connections or expand it to include a much larger interaction network.

The result can be downloaded or shared directly as an image.

And that makes it much more social.

You can post something like:

“Apparently, this is my real X circle.”

Or:

“Who is #1 in your X interaction circle?”

That kind of content naturally makes people curious about their own network.

Why This Is Interesting for Creators

At first, I thought this would mainly be a fun visualization.

But after building it, I realized it can reveal quite a lot about an account.

For example:

Are You Stuck in a Small Bubble?

If the same 20–30 people always appear at the center of your circle, your network may be more concentrated than you think.

What Community Are You Actually Part Of?

AI?

Indie hacking?

Crypto?

Startups?

Marketing?

By looking at the accounts in your interaction circle, you can quickly understand what kind of community you are actually participating in.

Who Are Your Real Relationships on X?

Follower counts tell you how many people clicked Follow.

They don’t tell you who actually talks to you.

Someone with 100,000 followers may still actively interact with only a relatively small group of people.

Those people are often much more important than the raw follower number.

Followers Measure Reach. Interactions Measure Relationships.

While building xpaiming, I’ve become increasingly convinced of one thing:

Follower count is a scale metric, not a relationship metric.

Having 10,000 followers does not mean 10,000 people know you.

It doesn’t even mean 1,000 people regularly see or interact with your content.

Your real network may be the 20, 50, or 100 people who:

reply to you,

discuss ideas with you,

quote your posts,

support your launches,

or keep showing up in your conversations.

That’s why I find this question much more interesting than:

Who follows you?

The better question is:

Who do you actually talk to?

That is the idea behind X Interaction Circle.

Where xpaiming Is Going Next

xpaiming originally focused more on things like:

X account rankings,

follower growth,

top-performing posts,

and account monitoring.

But I want to take it further.

Instead of only answering:

Who is growing the fastest?

I also want to explore questions like:

Why is an account growing?

Who are they interacting with?

Which communities are forming around them?

Which accounts are becoming influential inside certain networks?

Interaction Circle is one small step in that direction.

The feature is now live:

https://xpaiming.com/en/circle

Enter your X username and generate your own circle.

It’s free and no login is required.

And there’s one question I’m especially curious about:

Are the people you think you interact with the most actually the same people who appear at the center of your circle?
