Why do human beings suffer? And what happens when suffering becomes interpreted as something they deserve?
Drawing on Hindu philosophies of karma and rebirth, Christian teachings concerning original sin, and psychological perspectives on guilt and moral conditioning, this documentary examines how religious explanations of suffering can shape human relationships, personal identity, and attitudes toward vulnerable individuals.
At the heart of this investigation lies a fundamental question:
When someone is suffering, should we search for reasons why they deserve their pain — or respond first with compassion?
This film does not seek to attack religious faith. Instead, it invites believers, skeptics, researchers, and thoughtful viewers into an open dialogue about the boundaries between spiritual interpretation, moral judgment, and human dignity.
