The russians blew up the Kakhovska dam HPP, causing an environmental disaster. There is a threat of flooding up to 80 settlements. As of now, more than 10 settlements are completely or partially flooded. The number of animals that have died or may die from the elements is hard to even imagine.
❤️🩹We supported shelters that evacuate, rescue or accept rescued animals from the flooded Kherson region.
🐶 Evacuation
We bought 29 cages for 96,000 UAH for 3 shelters from Odesa and Mykolaiv, which will help volunteers to evacuate and transport animals to shelters.
😺 Food
We sent 5,800 kg of feed for 9 shelters from Kherson, Odesa, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Sumy, Nikopol.
And we bought 1,800 kg of fodder for 98,000 UAH for 4 shelters in Mykolaiv, Odesa and Kherson.
🐈⬛ Medicines
We bought 575 vaccines worth almost 82,000 UAH for shelters from Odesa, Mykolaiv and Sumy that accepted evacuated animals, as well as for the Nikopol shelter, which has a critical water supply situation due to the detonation of the dam by the occupiers.
🐕🦺 Settlement of the rescued in shelters
They bought 30 booths for UAH 87,700 to accommodate rescued animals in the Pegasus shelter, which has already evacuated 34 animals from the Kherson region and will continue to do so in the coming days.
