It is actually interesting that a lot of times we don't get a chance to have a group photo. Which is kind of interesting because I literally have thousands of photos in my phone and in other media - yet, sometimes I don't see many photos of the three of us together... relatively speaking. But I like this one, because it is very much us, with our imperfect, yet genuine candor
This photo was taken somewhere in Virginia, we were en route to an AB&B that Alicia found before we went to visit the waterfall I was speaking about on a previous post. Just my luck I hurt my lip and it had this ugly a$$ scab because of it - which my funny wife affectionally called my "whore lip" - yeah, that's what a happy marriage looks like. Her funny statement actually made me laugh, although I was not amused that now my photos would have to be either ruined, or I would have to cover that ugly spot right in the middle of my face with my hand -- hence the reason why my index finger is on my lip. Also, I was not very happy about my haircut, but the truth is that sometimes I just got what I've got - you never know what the barber you had was going to do your head. Well, THAT haircut is what happened that time. That is why I am finally letting my hair grow feral and happy.
But back to this day, we had a really fun road trip. We stopped along the way because the view was just amazing from the road. With Alicia and Sammy, we've been to more than 20 states in the USA, and hopefully this year I can take them to see the Grand Canyon and other pretty landmarks. Sammy is a very good traveler, she does enjoy the road trips, and looking out the car window. She is also very good company and very well behaved. Which is very lucky, because some kids (no offense to them or their parents) seem to be a lot more wired that my daughter. As I said, Sammy and Alicia do have a similar temper, and that is actually a very good thing for these road trips. I'll be posting more adventures, so we can continue these conversations.
