The Call of the Beast

The Call of the Beast

Dec 07, 2024

There's a voice in the canyon that lies dormant. I know where she waits and the power she holds, she will rise like a sandstorm when I go to meet her.
As I race across these desert roads, the beast in me bellows, savage and fiercely happy in it's freedom.
There needs to be no poison nor wine, no darkness nor pain for my words to bleed onto these pages. All the tired years in a haze, like a lost ship in the fog, but here I can let my words set sail under clear star filled skies or burning blue days, milky way in the sky like the swelling Nile gives me a thousand stories and a million new paths, I only must choose one for there to be more. My sword is my tongue and my ship is my bike, new opportunities spinning under me with every turn of the wheel and I feel this strength, the power of the sun on my face, the decisions I make firm and unapologetic. Finally, I have climbed over this wall and stand like a queen, master of my life.
