Transylvania Gazette started as an experiment: could a fictional newspaper become a living world rather than simply a collection of generated articles?
It has gone much further than I expected.
What already exists:
🌦️ A living weather system generating the Gazette’s daily conditions.
📜 Historically grounded stories, chronicles and events forming the history of the world.
👥 Citizens, institutions and relationships forming a persistent society.
🗺️ Cartography & Places — a growing geography of the imagined world.
🎨 Artists, writers, critics and their works forming its cultural life.
🎵 Cross-media artistic connections — a musical work inspired by a painting created by another artist within the universe has already been successfully tested.
📰 A developing digital publishing system allowing the Gazette to publish its own evolving edition.
And now I’m moving toward the next layer:
AR / XR / VR presentation of the imagined world.
The goal is no longer simply to describe places in the Gazette, but to eventually give those places a spatial presence.
The Gazette started as a newspaper.
It is becoming a world.
I’m building it alone, piece by piece. Keeping the project moving means keeping the tools, infrastructure and development time available.
