Über Gregory Edwards
Hi, I’m Gregory M. Edwards — a writer, comedy performer and organiser from Colchester, Essex.
I write historical fiction with a love of British crime, film noir, local history and characters who are never quite as simple as they first appear. My "Colchester Mysteries" follow private investigator Claude Evans and the formidable Maude Bober through the secrets, danger and unfinished business of 1920s and 1930s Colchester.
I’m also the author of "Still Here", a big-hearted story of family, music and solidarity set during the 1984 miners’ strike in South Wales.
When I’m not writing, you’ll usually find me running comedy nights with Legion of Laughs, performing, singing, or arguing that old detective films were better when everyone wore a hat.
If you enjoy a good mystery, a touch of history and the occasional dry joke, you’re very welcome here. Any support helps me keep writing, printing books and bringing these stories to readers.
