My time with photography began slinging a Rebel T1i across Texas, photographing anything and everything I saw. A bit over 5 years ago while on a trip to Kyrgyzstan visiting my sister, I was introduced to the world of analog photography. She and I were exploring the Osh Bazaar in downtown Bishkek when I came across an old leather camera case tucked in the back of a vendor’s stall. I opened it up and to my surprise there was a mint condition Zenit E with a Helios 44-2 58mm lens attached. I paid the vendor approximately $20 USD to take it home, expanding my passion for photography into a deep appreciation for the history and direction of the craft.
