I always saw myself growing up to be an artist as a child and pointing peoples attention to the beautiful things this world has to offer. One of those things is surfing! I grew up near the beach and my parents didn’t ever think to get me into surfing. I started surfing in high school. I picked up a camera a friend gifted me after having my first son and it drove me to go on walks to fight postpartum, especially the after my second son was born. I surfed a lot before becoming a mom and taking surf photos was a way of still being present in the surf.
