Offri un caffè a Grace De Luna

Hi there! 👋

My name is Grace, and I’m a Brisbane-based multimedia designer passionate about creating thoughtful digital experiences. As part of my Master of Design degree at Griffith University – Queensland College of Art & Design, I developed Pause, a screen time management app that helps users become more mindful of their digital habits.

Pause is not another productivity or lockout app. Instead, it uses low-stimulation design and empathetic gamification to gently introduce moments of stillness — encouraging you to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the world beyond the screen.

During my research, I discovered that even a brief moment of friction — like a subtle pause before opening an app — can make users more conscious of their actions. The concept resonated deeply with people, who found its calm, minimalist interface to be a refreshing contrast to the attention-grabbing visuals of social media.

Now, I want to bring Pause to life as a real, functional app — designed with care, backed by research, and built for balance.

Why I need your support...or coffee ☕️

Building an app takes time, collaboration, and resources. Your support will go towards:

• App development (iOS and Android)

• UI/UX testing and refinement

• Server and hosting costs

• Branding, community building, and launch materials

Even the smallest contribution (or coffee!) helps bring Pause closer to reality. Every bit of support helps me continue creating designs that challenge our relationship with technology — one mindful moment at a time.
