I was a Religious Studies major at Occidental College in the early 1990s, studying with Karen L. King, later appointed the first woman to be the Hollis Professor of Divinity, the oldest endowed chair in the United States (1721). I've had a passion for and interest in ancient Near Eastern history (especially Gnostic related aspects) as long as I can remember, influenced by growing up as the son of an ordained priest in the Ecclesia Gnostica (www.gnosis.org).
