Achetez un Beer à Gordon Robertson

‘A feel that reminds me of Bublé or Timberlake...taking wee influences from classic jazz and dancing them around modern crooner pop.’ Gordon Robertson is a Scottish singer/songwriter whose jazz-tinged contemporary pop is fast finding fans among connoisseurs who rightly see the connection between Tony Bennett and Jason Mraz, Ella Fitzgerald and Jack Johnson.

“We very much loved the smoothness and ease of his voice” - Jackie Jackson (The Jacksons) and Edele (B*Witched)

26 year old Gordon grew up in Edinburgh in a musical family and started his musical education early. Singing as a chorister from the age of 7, followed by stints in musical theatre, Gordon is also a proficient guitarist, pianist, ‘cellist and drummer. Gordon’s rich, warm tenor voice sets him apart from many of his contemporaries, equally at home delivering a stylish jazz standard, and a powerful, belted pop anthem. Also an accomplished songwriter, his song Vodka Lemon Lime won the OE International Song Competition in 2016 and his second single was a grand-finalist in LUM’s 2018 Songwriters’ Festival. Gordon performs regularly in clubs across the UK with his band, clocking over 100 performances in 2018 alone.

Gordon Robertson is set to release a string of singles with London-based production/management company The Animal Farm. His debut single ‘Vodka Lemon Lime’, is a charming earworm of a debut from a multi-talented young musician. His second, ‘Boys Will Be Boys’ was released as part of the Listen Up Music’s Songwriting Competition compilation album in 2018, and is about his experiences of being bullied at school. His most recent single 'Back to the Start' came out in April and has racked up over 206k listens in that time after being included on Spotify's Jazz Pop Editorial Playlist. His monthly listeners on Spotify are now around 12k. It describes how, even in life’s toughest moments, we can all find solace and comfort in the relationships we hold dearest to us. A very poignant and apt lyrics for the current global pandemic crisis! More to come from Gordon Robetson over the next few months, so stay tuned!
