Course Strategist: The Preserve at Jordan Lake - A Performance Blueprint
$5
Chapel Hill's toughest test of target golf, deconstructed hole by hole. Designed by Davis Love III and Paul Cowley, The Preserve at Jordan Lake punishes power and rewards precision - dramatic elevation changes, forced carries over ravines and wetlands, and multi-tiered greens that make this an Audubon-certified sanctuary as demanding as it is beautiful.
This 22-page caddie book gives you tee-specific strategy for every hole, scaled to your handicap.
Inside you'll get:
- Player profiling and optimal tee selection based on your real driver distance
- Course handicap and expected score modeling so you know what a "good round" actually looks like here
- Shot-by-shot tee, approach, greenside, and putting strategy for all 18 holes, broken out for low, mid, and high handicappers
- The terrain reads that separate a good score from a card-wrecking triple - lateral slopes, false fronts, and where the driver is actually a liability
A taste of what's inside: Hole 8, the course's hardest hole:
"The undisputed hardest hole on the course. A monstrous uphill dogleg right. Dense woods guard the right; out-of-bounds houses line the left... A three-putt is statistically probable here. Accepting a double-bogey on the course's hardest hole is strategically sound and protects the mental game."
Whether you're playing The Preserve for the first time or trying to finally tame it, this guide hands you the strategic discipline the design demands - hole by hole, tee by tee.
