New Testament vs Old Testament.
After reading this, you can now confidently defend your Christian faith and convert any atheist or non believers. Let’s delve in.
So if we all agree that The New Testament is the foundation of Christianity and The New Covenant through The death and Resurrection of Christ.
The Question is, Why then do we have the Old Testament as part of the Bible?
If we (as Christians) are no longer under the law neither are we bound by it, why then do we have it as part of the Bible?
Answer:
The Bible says the law was written to expose the weakness of man.
So…
Without the Law we would not know what sin was or is;
Without the Law, we would not know the importance and value of Grace,
Without the law, we would not know the intensity of the sacrifice of Christ.
Without the Law, we would not know the wrath of God.
Without the Law, we would not know what Mercy was or is.
Without the Law, we would not know the value of the new Covenant.
Without the Law, we would not know what righteousness is.
Without the Law, we would not know the power of Salvation.
And without the Law, we would not know the importance of the Holy Spirit.
Secondly, Without the Old Testament Bible, we would not have known How Creation happened.
The faith of men would have reduced if we don’t know how we came into existence and how the world was created.
The old testament is there to help us answer questions that no one would have been able to explain to us. And without Answers there would be no FAITH!
Without the Old Testament, many of us would have believed the Bigbang theory of Monkeys and apes turning into humans.
But thank God the Old Testament Bible is 10,000 years older than the Big Bang theory.
So it provided answers even before the lies came out.
Which is why it started with a story, such as; “IN THE BEGINNING, GOD…”
The Old Testament also precedes through time to tell us who we were and how we lived before the coming of Jesus Until His Birth.
Now this is why the Old Testament Bible is very important to the Christian Faith. It is there to provide answers.
While the New Testament is the foundation of Christianity through CHRIST and it is the main focus of our FAITH.
Because only the New Testament talks about Heaven, Hell and Salvation.
It is important You know all these things As a Christian. It will help your growth and also help you respond to questions from Non Christians and especially atheists.
