Israeli forces are continuing to advance in Khan Younis, with a large portion of the urban center now firmly under their control. Israel has also made significant advances around Bureij, where they are bypassing some of the densest parts of the city and cutting it off. Located in central Gaza, Israeli troops are securing areas not far to its north as part of the mopping up operations in northern Gaza.
Israel scored a major political win, as the United States Senate overwhelmingly voted against forcing the United States government to make public any knowledge that they may have had on Israeli war crimes in Gaza. Public sentiment towards Israel has certainly been decreasing over time in the United States, and the government has clearly grown tired of political differences with Israel's government, but this was a major litmus test and Israel passed.
