To find great makeup, you kinda have to be a pro at skin and color science. And with tens of thousands of products out there, where a mauve might actually be a peach, it's hard to know what to buy in the first place. Where does our search begin? When we come across a recommendation, can we trust it alone?
As someone who lives on the internet, I saw that the answers to what makeup we should buy were out there but hard to access. After engaging hundreds of makeup shoppers, I strongly believe that what we yearn for is a community-curated engine. This is an engine that does the hard work of gathering recommendations and refining them with feedback. So we built one. It wasn't easy but the insights we're digging up make it so worth it! Insights like:
- What colors tend to look best on specific skintones and undertones? Here's an example.
- Once I find a product like blush or lipstick that I love, what can they be paired with? Here's an example.
- What foundation shades do we wear in the summer vs. winter? Here's a list.
I've really leveled up my makeup IQ and would love to do the same for you!
