FishFry is officially live on CurseForge.
It began with a simple belief: fishing in World of Warcraft deserves more direction, more personality, and more reasons to care about the journey.
FishFry is a fishing and fish-cooking guide HUD built for TBC Anniversary. It brings together the familiar tools players expect—casting controls, tackle management, lure support, cooking helpers, effective Fishing breakdowns, Find Fish controls, and current-zone information—but the real heart of the addon is its guide and milestone systems.
The guide does more than display a wall of instructions. It follows your faction, profession skills, inventory, current zone, recipes, tackle, and route progress to help surface the next useful step.
The Journal turns fishing into a completionist journey, with searchable and filterable milestones covering profession ranks, routes, recipes, vendors, travel, trophy fish, optional objectives, and larger goals such as the Trophy Wall. Players can pin their current focus, track account-wide progress, and work through fishing as a real progression system instead of an isolated side activity.
Every action remains manual and player-controlled. FishFry is designed to support the experience, not play the game for you.
This release also represents something larger for me: the beginning of GildedVellum as a growing body of handcrafted game addons and mods. I want to keep finding overlooked systems, giving them clearer direction, and building tools that feel purposeful rather than generic.
Supporting GildedVellum helps fund continued maintenance, testing, visual design, future updates, and the process of turning more long-shelved projects into finished public releases.
