When delivering items using Amazon Flex, you may need to leave your vehicle for extended periods of time. It is not recommended to deliver items using Amazon Flex if you want to bring passengers or pets with you, as the only exception is service animals. If you choose to bring passengers, you must adhere to the following rules:
You must be in the vehicle at all times when you are picking up an item from an Amazon.com store. This is because you must drive through Amazon's facility to pick up your packages. If a passenger wants to leave the vehicle, they must be accompanied by an Amazon employee.
The passenger is not allowed to enter the drop-off or limited pickup areas at Prime Now, Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods or other stores if you are picking up packages from them. They may have to stay in your car or in the parking lot.
Pickup and delivery times can change, and your passengers or pets may be in the car or parking lot longer than you anticipate.
Your vehicle must have enough room to accommodate your passengers or pets and all of your packages.
The passenger cannot drive the vehicle during the delivery.
Failure to follow these rules may affect your participation in the Amazon Flex program.
