My name is Geoff, and it is safe to assume from my greeting that I am based in Australia. In fact, my home is in the hills just outside Perth in Western Australia.

I am a wood worker with an interest in using 3D design tools to design my projects. I use FreeCAD as my modeling tool, and I am a member of the Western Australian Fine Wood Work Association.

I have two YouTube channels which I use as an outlet for my creativity and as a break from daily life.

The oldest is Glasson Design Studio, which I started as a wood working channel but I didn't have much of a plan at the time so it morphed into FreeCAD related channel. I continue to make videos for the channel, leaning towards topics that support wood working, but with general use videos as well. This is my way of giving something back to the community that has produced an excellent piece of software.

The newest channel is One Nerds Workshop which is a wood working channel and will launch in April 2025. I have not made a substantial piece of furniture since COVID, and One Nerds Workshop follows my journey back to making fine furniture and boxes. I hope to inspire new wood workers in the same way that life members of our Association have inspired me.

In addition to my wood working, I design 3D printable jigs and fixtures using FreeCAD.

I am juggling a full time job and content creation like so many others on YouTube, and your support will help take away some of the financial burden. I expect to be releasing content every 2-3 months on both channels, with the aim of producing interesting videos that encourage you to take the next step in your journey with woodworking or FreeCAD. In time I hope to increase the frequency that I release content.
