♥️ Meet Ghazal Fares AbdelMalik Abu Khousa

Age: 12 years old (6th grade)

Father: Martyred during the war

Current residence: A tent in Palestine Stadium

Family size: 9 members

Ghazal is a young girl living in extremely difficult conditions. Her father was severely injured during the early days of the war but couldn’t receive medical treatment due to the siege. He passed away four hours later. Since then, Ghazal has become one of many war orphans in Gaza.

Her family has been displaced five times and trapped under siege twice. They initially took shelter in a school, where her aunt was killed right in front of her, and her father was injured. After the first siege, they were forced to flee again, only to be besieged a second time and pushed toward southern Gaza.

The family later moved between different tents — in Rafah, then an orphan camp, and finally back to the north, where they now live in a tent inside Palestine Stadium.

Ghazal and her 14-year-old brother, AbdelMalik, take turns waiting in long lines to collect clean water and food. Because the food portions are too small, they both must stand in line to bring enough for their large family.

No one in the family is able to work, so they rely completely on charity kitchens, water trucks, and the kindness of neighbors to survive.
