Hi, I'm Gathin.

One afternoon I got tired of the ads on my parents' TV, so I had Claude Code clean it up over Wi-Fi and build a simple home screen with just their apps on it. I put the prompt on GitHub, tweeted the before and after, and a few thousand people did the same to their own TVs over the next two days. Xiaomi, TCL, Sony, Fire TV, LG, a projector or two.

That became cleanyour.tv: a free, open-source way to debloat any Android TV or Google TV. No root, nothing uninstalled, one line puts it all back. People have since sent in setups for 26 TVs and built their own launchers on top of it.

I maintain it in my spare time: reviewing pull requests, testing on real TVs, keeping the launcher small and the guide honest. A coffee keeps that going, and the next one goes towards a cheap second-hand TV from a brand I have not tested yet.
