Hi, I’m Aaron, the developer behind GaijinDev.

I build practical tools for Japan using public data, automation, AI, and open-source technology. Most of my projects are designed to make life easier for people living in Japan, traveling here, or building products around Japan.

I started calling myself GaijinDev after realizing that whenever I needed a tool for life in Japan, I usually had to build it myself instead of waiting for someone else to. That’s how this project was born.

I got tired of useful information being scattered across outdated websites, buried in PDFs, and hidden behind confusing systems. So I started turning those frustrations into tools that anyone can use.
