Edges -
I have always like the edges of things. I've always been drawn to them. Where the ocean meets the shore. Where the dawn meets the day or dusk meets the night. Like the way the bench is situated above, I find myself looking out toward the place where land rushes into waves. I have often situated myself looking toward the demarcation line of any two objects.
Edges -
I have a favorite edge. This is a meeting place that I often look towards and fondly recall. A point of distinction so profound it influences every other edge in my life. This is the place where my old death met my new life. The place of understanding where I finally chose to die to self and live to Christ. The place where Doubt toppled over the precipice and landed in Trust. And now, each day as I face that same threshold, that same edge between true life and eternal death, I find again new mercy and renewed purpose. I find Love that compels me, calls me, woos me! I find an appeal to surrender myself ever deeper into Life.

I love edges....
Here’s a word you can take to heart and depend on: Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. I’m proof—Public Sinner Number One—of someone who could never have made it apart from sheer mercy.
And now he shows me off—evidence of his endless patience—to those who are right on the
edge of trusting him forever. 1 Timothy 1:15-16 MSG

Deep honor and bright glory
to the King of All Time—
One God, Immortal, Invisible,
ever and always. Oh, yes!
