À propos Friend Z
New Jersey based alternative Punk Rock band
Attempting to provide a release from the mundane, Friend Z implements distorted punk riffs, driving bass lines, and grounded drums to support screams and strains along with 90’s hip hop and 2000’s emo verses. The four piece is a North Jersey outfit inspired by bands like NOFX, Blink-182, and Senses Fail.
Their first EP, Acid Soup, encompasses a larger feeling of finding a way to temper the frustrations of day to day life. From the grimey introduction with “Come Alive” a song about growing up in New Jersey coping with reality using drugs and alcohol, to the pop punk powerhouse “Modern Love Song” about sexual gratification in an online world, the new EP is an effort to offer a commonality that we can all share.
Off their new album, Stuck in the Static, the band’s single “What’s Left When Your Friends Are All You Need” takes a break from the irreverent to explore coping with the unexpected loss of a loved one.
Through the highs, the lows, and plenty of “What the hell was that?” In between, the music of Friend Z invites you into their world and encourages you to thrash your way through it alongside them.
