À propos Fretboard Knowledge
creating Guitar Education with a focus on Practical Application
Hi, I'm Alexander! Welcome to fretboardknowledge.com.
As a jazz guitarist and teacher from the Netherlands, I'm continually studying and teaching music and the guitar.
I enjoy posting stuff I find useful on this website, so here you will find a growing collection of scales, chords, and arpeggios, as well as patterns and exercises that will have you practicing and growing your knowledge and skill-set on a daily basis.
As I work from the perspective of an improvising musician, my main objective is that everything we learn has an immediate, practical application in a musical context.
You can visit the website of my local guitar school, which has been my main full-time teaching gig since 2007 (I teach guitar since 1998).
Currently I also offer specialised online lessons.
For more information you can contact me directly to set up online lessons.
For more of a 'backstory', check out this article: Without Allan Holdsworth, this website wouldn't exist.
