What One Facebook Inquiry Taught Me About Marketing Overload

Oct 25, 2026

I’m Rome Wells, and today I shared something small but meaningful on Threads: I had received an inquiry from Facebook.

That is one personal experience, not proof that a tool or strategy will produce the same result for everyone. But it made me reconsider a question I keep coming back to: are we helping people reach the right audience, or just giving them more places to post?

For the moms over 40 I’m trying to serve, the challenge often isn’t a shortage of ideas. It’s finding the energy to promote a tutoring service, a creative business, or another project after everything else the day asks of them.

I don’t want the answer to be another evening spent copying captions between apps. I want there to be room for dinner with the kids, a walk with the dog, or a cat settling into your lap without the feeling that your business has been forgotten.

That is the direction behind ThreadsGPT: start with one useful idea, adapt it thoughtfully for different places, review what will be shared, and learn from the evidence afterward. We’re building and testing those connections. Some pieces already work; others still need refinement. Attention, clicks, inquiries and purchases are different outcomes, and I don’t want to blur them together.

The human side matters just as much. Through my talent-agency work, I’m developing opportunities for Freedom Founders in Africa to build practical skills across technology, communication and creative work. My aim is to offer moms a choice: handle the work themselves, or delegate a clearly defined task while keeping control of the direction and approvals.

Freedom Fusion Studio is part of that larger vision: clearer requests, smaller milestones and a shared understanding of what actually got done. It isn’t a promise of effortless marketing or guaranteed income.

If you choose to buy me a coffee, I intend to direct 50% of that support toward Freedom Founders in Africa and their practical skills development. Support is optional, and I’ll keep sharing what I’m learning along the way.

For now, my takeaway is simple: progress may mean finding the right conversation—not adding more noise.

I’ll add the original Threads conversation in a imagefollow-up comment.
