I Asked AI for Progress—and Ended Up Going in Circles

Oct 25, 2026

The other day, I wanted to move a project forward. Instead, I found myself going around in circles with AI.

I explained the problem. Tried a fix. Hit another obstacle. Explained things again.

You know that feeling when you have spent so much effort working on the work that you barely remember what you were trying to finish? That was the frustration.

And it matters because the point of building these tools is to get time back.

If you are a mom over 40 building a business between family responsibilities, you do not need another system that asks you to repeat your entire life story every time you open it. You need somewhere to pick up the thread.

The change I am working toward

That experience is shaping how I am building ThreadsGPT as part of the ThreadsStack Digital Power Bundle.

One useful piece is a Notion-backed workflow. The idea is simple: give the work a place to live outside a single conversation.

Before another attempt, keep a short checkpoint:

• What is the mission?

• What have we already tried?

• What failed, and what evidence do we have?

• What is actually verified?

• What is the next useful action?

When ChatGPT is connected to Notion with the appropriate access, it can read and update that context when prompted. That gives the next session—or the next collaborator—something concrete to resume.

It takes consistent checking and updating. Notion does not magically fix a stopped server, an expired connection, or a missing permission. We just ran into those kinds of obstacles ourselves. Recording the actual blocker is what helps us avoid treating every problem as a reason to start over.

Why this belongs in ThreadsGPT

I want the work behind a social post to have more continuity: the audience, the message, the attempts, the approved creative, and the next step.

That is the direction I am building toward with ThreadsGPT. Some parts of our publishing workflow have been verified; other pieces still need work. I will keep sharing both.

The image with this story says, “Stop restarting. Start progressing.” That is the goal I am working toward—not a promise that AI will never get stuck.

More time for your kids. Your cat wandering across the keyboard. Your dog waiting for a walk. Or simply a little breathing room after a long day.

There are people behind this, too

Freedom Founders are part of this journey: people developing practical skills in content, automation, and working with AI under the guidance of our talent agency.

I want a clearer mission and a useful checkpoint to help them contribute with more confidence, too. Learning should leave you with something you can build on.

I wrote more about that purpose in “What I’m Building Around Time, Talent, and Freedom.” You can read that chapter here:

Follow the conversation

I shared the ThreadsGPT + Notion image and a short version of this idea on Threads:

If you would like to follow my journey, I would love to have you here. And if you choose to buy me a coffee, my intention is to direct 50% of that support toward helping Freedom Founders in Africa develop these hybrid skills and participate in this mission.

You can support the journey here:

A coffee supports the work; it is separate from purchasing ThreadsStack.

What do you wish imageyour AI remembered before you had to explain it again?
