Years ago I returned my MacBook Air M2 because its speakers sounded almost mono compared to the M1 Air. Later I discovered the issue wasn’t the hardware but Apple’s audio processing. The apps I tried either added too much latency or didn’t create the effect I wanted—so I built this app.
AirStereo improves the stereo feel on MacBook Air M2–M5 models. It automatically disables processing when headphones are connected (both 3.5 mm or Bluetooth).
