Help Bring More Music to Forres Seniors - and beyond to the Highlands & Islands of Scotland!
The Forres & Findhorn Ukulele Group - ffug.org - has been created from three years of work teaching people - mainly seniors - to play ukulele. In that time over 100 people in that local area have learned to play at a series of beginners classes that started in our living room at Findhorn and expanded into Forres when the demand grew beyond the walls of our home. We have been spreading the joy of music by performing at local care homes, community gatherings, and charity events.
The Newbold Legacy Trust and The Auchernack Trust have been fantastic supporters, enabling the purchase of starter ukuleles, as well as a sound and projection system.
The work continues and we are now spreading our horizons to the whole of the Highlands and Islands of Scotland through the Findhorn Ukulele Outreach Programme. We don't have any direct funding for that yet but we intend to look for some. In the meantime any gifts to support this work are greatly appreciated, and enable it to be more than a labour of love. Your support will make a huge difference in helping me share the gift of music with even more people, which is why I've set up this "Buy Me A Coffee" page.
Thanks for helping me bring more music to Moray, and to the Highlands and Islands. We've already done our first distant outreach, with a day teaching beginners and players in Orkney - 54 people signed up for that!
