Hi, I’m Mia! I’m a mummy of a 5year-old and a 10 year-old. My adventure began in November 2022 when my toddler, a little tornado, made baby groups feel impossible. With almost zero sleep, from her then undiagnosed health conditon and most friends back at work, I found myself in a lonely and dark phase of my mummyhood chapter.
Folkestone has tons of community spirit, so I knew there HAD to be more to do with toddlers. But finding activities online was like searching for a needle in a haystack—especially with my toddler hating my being on my phone. One sleepless Sunday night, I grabbed good ol pen and paper and mapped out all the local fun. I discovered a treasure trove of activities that filled a weekly fridge planner, which lifted my mood and filled my week with excitement instead of dread.
As I shared my fridge planners with a parents, others then started asking for them. Fast forward to January 2023, and the 'Toddler Folke' WhatsApp group was born, quickly attracting hundreds of parents who were also lost in the toddler activity maze. I dove into local theaters, farms, and more, spreading the word about events and supporting small businesses.
Now I share weekly PDFs of activities on Instagram too, along with holiday guides that help local families and businesses thrive. It’s rewarding to hear how my work helps parents find community and support—and keep me fuelled with coffee!
