Foreign Native is anyone set apart in the very spaces they belong. Our five pillars are rooted in; 1. Truth-Seeking 2.Meaning-Making 3.Community Integrity 4. Identity Development 5. Engagement & Participation 

Founded in 2012 with its first outlet, Penny 4 Your Thoughts (P4YT), a unique open mic series that radically changed the way creators and supporters come together in every sense of the word.  Imagine being immersed in one of the most vibrant, intergenerational scenes in California's capitol for only a $0.4 admission. Not only would supporters donate, but we created a direct line of connection for them and the artists they were inspired by. Creators would be given cups with their name on it upon signing our open mic list. Community would trade their cash for penny rolls and at the end of our event, we collectively made change. We started off this way to show ourselves if we can do so much with so little, imagine what we all will accomplish with so much.

And here we are, 10 years in with an infinite amount of fostered talent, culture and overall, love.  This page produces quality content with substance from our events, studio sessions and more.
