A proposito di Flying with Kids
Welcome to Flying with Kids!
Traveling with children can be a rewarding experience—but it also comes with unique logistical challenges. If you’ve ever found yourself navigating an airport while managing a toddler, a stroller, and carry-on luggage, you know how complex family travel can quickly become.
My name is Micha Østergaard. As a former Olympic swimmer from Denmark, I’ve spent years traveling around the world. However, it wasn’t until the birth of my daughter Anuuk that I truly experienced the realities of flying with a child.
Within her first year, Anuuk and I completed more than 16 flights together. While our time exploring Europe was unforgettable, it also exposed how difficult it can be to access reliable, consistent information for traveling families.
Each airport and airline has its own policies. Sometimes you're allowed to bring a stroller to the gate—other times you're not. Some airlines offer additional allowances for baby gear, while others require it to be checked. I once found myself unexpectedly having to check in my stroller, leaving me to carry both my child and our belongings through a crowded terminal without support.
That experience highlighted a clear need: a centralized, trustworthy source of information for families flying with young children.
This was the inspiration behind Flying with Kids—a comprehensive platform that compiles up-to-date information from over 300 airports and 80 airlines, designed to support families before, during, and after air travel.
Our goal is simple: to remove the guesswork from family flying. No more last-minute surprises or time-consuming research. Flying with Kids provides clear answers about what you can bring, what to expect at each airport, and how to better prepare for your journey.
From insights into the most child-friendly airlines to practical tips for in-flight comfort and entertainment, Flying with Kids serves as your go-to guide for smoother, more informed travel with children.
We believe that air travel with children should feel manageable—and even enjoyable. Flying with Kids exists to help make that a reality for families everywhere.
Warm regards,
Micha
