Justice - 'Incognito' [Fluence Reworked Club Edit]

For my reworked club edit of 'Incognito', I decided to use minimal elements from the track while trying to retain some of the energy of the original piece, I used a 909 drum kit as heard on a variety of French house-inspired records of the 1990s and early 2000s and I also wanted to do a few cut-ups like in 'Face To Face' by Daft Punk, I had to rework the vocal sample too plus it's such of an interesting choice for a sample because it nearly feels like a haunted kind of sound effect and it feels odd but in some way it blends well with the rest of the song, the sample in question is titled 'New Dream' by Clay Pedrini and I used a few chords from the original track that were reworked into my remix. The idea was to create a remix within the 'Fluence' sound while paying tribute to the original and I honestly feel like this remix would be hopefully appreciated by Xavier and Gaspard who have been of an important influence in my own music making. This is one of my favourite cuts from the 'Hyperdrama' album, it feels in some way like classic Justice from their early 'Cross' days while introducing a new kind of sound plus it feels like as you listen to it, it's like you're pressing buttons and exploring different musical eras or genres which was the tone our favourite French guys wanted for this tune, you basically never know what's coming up next !!!
