We are already in April, so it is time to give you some news about what happened in this first quarter of the year.
## Rivalcfg Project
Rivalcfg turns ten and the start of this year was almost fully dedicated to it. I am back for good on the project, a lot of work was done and more is coming.
I started by making a brand new website and a logo. This website will allow me to publish news about the project and to have a place to point to when I promote it. You can read more in the first announcement on the site:

No fewer than 3 Rivalcfg versions have been published this quarter:
v4.16.0 (2026-02-13) adds support for 3 new devices: the Aerox 3 CS2 Dragon Lore Edition, the Rival 3 Gen 2 and the Rival 3 Wireless Gen 2. The project was also upgraded to a more modern toolchain and now supports Python 3.14.
v4.16.1 (2026-03-10) contains a hotfix for the Rival 3 Wireless Gen 2 mouse that could be left barely unusable after setting the sensitivity using Rivalcfg. But don't worry, everything is fixed now and there was no permanent harm.
v4.17.0 (2026-04-02) adds support for 3 mice: the Rival 5, the Rival 5 Destiny Edition and the Prime+.
To finish with Rivalcfg, I now distribute standalone versions for Linux, macOS and Windows. Standalone builds are compiled versions of Rivalcfg you can run without installing any dependencies (not even Python). To use them, you just have to download and extract an archive (.tar.gz for Linux, .zip for Windows or .dmg for macOS). It is now the recommended way to use Rivalcfg.
For the more technical folks, don't worry, you are still able to install it from source like before, this is just a new option.

## Other Projects
I did not work that much on my other projects but I released new versions for 3 of them.
First, Stone.js Tools v1.6.1 was released on 2026-01-27. It is a tool for extracting/compiling translatable strings from JavaScript sources. This version contains a fix contributed by @jbghoul that allows strings from different contexts in the same file to be properly extracted. Thank you JB! 😁️
Second, Pontoon Debian v2026.03.20.0. Pontoon is a web translation application developed by Mozilla; Pontoon Debian is a Pontoon distribution and a manual to install and maintain it on Debian and Ubuntu. This is a project I'm working on as part of my job at Wanadev as we are using it... well... used to use it? Actually we still have one project that continues to use it but once this project is gone, we may discontinue Pontoon Debian. So this may be one of the last versions of Pontoon Debian. I will try to release at least one more version later this year, compatible with Debian 13 and Ubuntu 26.04 LTS, but I don't think I will be able to do more. If you are interested in this project, consider contributing.
And finally, Cover Thumbnailer v0.10.3, released on 2026-04-05. Cover Thumbnailer is a tool that generates folder thumbnails for various file browsers on Linux to display music album covers, previews of pictures which are in a folder, and more. Please note that I do not actively work on this project anymore; it is in low maintenance mode. This version contains 2 fixes contributed by @dmzoneill. A big thanks to him! 😄️
