Hi, I'm Nathan.

I'm not a full-time developer, coding was a hobby of mine long before I was ordained and went to seminary. These days I'm just dusting off those old skills and using them in a new way, building small apps I hope will actually matter to someone.

My day job is ministry. I served as a senior pastor for years, and I currently work as a hospice chaplain, sitting with people and their families in some of the most sacred moments of their lives.

Right now, I'm on FMLA while navigating a chronic illness. I was recently admitted to palliative care myself, which has been a strange and humbling shift, going from the chaplain at the bedside to the patient in the chair. It's given me a new urgency to finally build the things I've always wanted to build, while I have the energy to build them.

At home, I'm kept very loved (and very busy) by my wife, our three kids, and our five cats. Yes, five. Long story.
