I watched the first three Pirates movies recently and I was reminded of just how masterfully crafted and interconnected the storytelling was, and how good the characters were. I consider none of the characters or scenes boring. It all just works.
Jack and Barbosa are the best, most entertaining characters and their dynamic is so good.
Elizabeth goes from being kidnapped by pirates to working with pirates to being the pirate King.
They’re just all so good and there are so many quotable lines and funny ones too without being annoying.
“But why the rum?” is always a favorite.
And just the whole story between Davy and Calypso.
It’s all so grandiose while still just being a fun time.
