When should you travel to South Korea?
This is very individual and it depends on what type of scenery you wish to enjoy as well.
However, what time of the year you visit will dictate what you should bring of clothes.

I will go through roughly the seasons of Summer, Spring Fall and Winter.

Winter🥶
November through February are the coldest months considering winter in South Korea. However, March can also get cold but with spontanious glimps of warm days now and then. Temperatures will swing from +5v degrees and even all the way down to -16. The cold wind from Siberia makes it even colder in Korea, so it would be a good idea to bring a warm and windproof jacket.
Although winter is cold there are some positives with this period in Korea as well. There are several different festivals to experience, ice fishing and various other cozy activities in the different cities.

Spring 😷
Spring is considered to start from March, but as just mentioned, it is still a very cold month and visitors should still bring some warm clothes. The scenery hasn`t begun glooming yet either, so if you are waiting for the grass to be green and the cherry blossoms fully sprung I suggest to wait. Spring in Korea is said to last until early June. However, Spring and Fall slowly becomes shorter every year.
Temperatures will go from zero and stay between 6°C - 18°C.
Weather might get nicer and temperatures better, but keep in mind, April is often hit with a lot of yellow dust which can affect respiratory health.
Positives are the Cherry Blossom festival, perfect conditions to go hiking or relaxe at Hangang river.

Summer 🥵
Timing it right and summer vacation in Korea can be a great experience. Summer starts from June and usually lasts until August, but in recent years the heat stays through September. The humidity starts its worst doing from July, so if you`re sensitive to dry and humid air and high tempereatures, I highly suggest tonot visit from July until mid September. Being summer, South Korea still sees typhoons and there is also a rainy season period. When exactly it is changes from year to year. Days can hit peaks of over 33°C and evenings can hold 25°C - 20°C.

Nevertheless, this is the season to enjoy the beach life, summer festivals alonside the Han river, Island hopping or cooling down at a water park.
For all visitors planning to visit Korea in the Summer, stay hydrated and take lots of breaks and stay in the shade during mid-day.

Fall🙂
Spans from September until November. Temperatures and the humid starts to calm down and you can expect temperatures staying stable between 22°C - 10°C. In October it will keep dropping down.
Fall is also a very pretty month if you like watching the leafs changing their colors before falling.
South Korea showcases a brilliant palette of red, orange, and yellow across national parks, mountains, universities, palaces, parks, and roads. Therefore, mountain hiking, visiting parks or public gardens are very populare destinations to visit.
This is a very populare period for travelers to visit South Korea so keep in mind some attractions might get crowded.

This is just a brief pointer of what to expect when you visit Korea. Things change from year to year due to the global warming. It is also worth mentioning Seoul, South Korea has become rapidly more polluted. Not only because of the rapid industrialization, but also due to China. Heavy winds pushes much of the pollution over to South Korea.

I hope this makes it a little bit easier for you to decide when you should visit South Korea 😊
