I’ve always wanted a personal portfolio site that’s fast, minimal, and effortless to maintain—without the overhead of a full CMS or the hassle of starting from scratch.
So I began with a simple goal:
Write in Markdown, enhance with React components, and publish a clean, performant site quickly.
That idea became Findoora Docs.
What started as a weekend project turned into something surprisingly useful.
⸻
What I built with
• Next.js 15 App Router
• MDX (Markdown + React components)
• TypeScript-first (no anys)
• shadcn/ui for accessible, clean components
• Docker for consistent deployment
⸻
What it does
• Publish static content using Markdown or MDX
• Easily customizable with your own branding
• SEO and performance optimized
• Supports technical blogging with Mermaid diagrams, code snippets, and more
• RSS feed support to keep your audience updated
• Dark mode for comfortable reading
• Built-in fast search
• One-click deploy with Vercel
• Structured to support CMS or database integration in the future
⸻
Use cases
• A personal portfolio with blogging capabilities
• Publishing internal documentation
• Sharing technical articles under your own domain
• Publishing Markdown docs without exposing your repo
• Any content-driven site—simple to maintain, easy to scale
⸻
It’s open source, built with flexibility in mind, and genuinely easy to get started with. No over-promises.

This project was a reminder: sometimes the best tools are the ones you build for yourself.
What’s something you built just to make your own life easier?
