Fieldnote Offline Tools 1.0.0: local scripts, with worked examples

Oct 22, 2026

Fieldnote Offline Tools 1.0.0 is now in the shop: a $5 one-time download with CSV/JSON converters and Pricecheck.

The ZIP includes Python source, usage guides, test files and the original license notices. The tools run locally with the Python standard library and need no API keys, network connection or subscription.

A conversion example you can inspect

This CSV was actually converted with the packaged command:

item,count
demo,2
sample,3

The JSON result was:

[{"item":"demo","count":"2"},{"item":"sample","count":"3"}]

This converter keeps CSV values as strings. It handles flat data; nested flattening and huge-file streaming are outside this release. Read the documented null/blank-value limits before using it for a round trip.

A cost example with explicit assumptions

In the included 2026-10-21 price snapshot, the basic-page example allocates $0.38 of list-rate cost to 100 pages, while the modeled active monthly plan still has a $19 base commitment. Pricecheck keeps those two amounts separate. This dated example is not a live vendor quote or an exact bill.

The recorded execution environment is Windows with Python 3.12.10. Python 3.10+ is a compatibility target. Installation services and custom work are outside this download.

See the files, full scope and $5 download.

What was the last repetitive file task you paid to fix? A general example in the comments would help decide which workflow deserves attention next.
