Comparison is looking at a piece of another, what they choose to give you, that piece they offer up in a way that is not untouched by the pull of social media (because even in our most authentic state, we still add a little “something” to our shares), and attempting to line who you are, who your children are, what stage you are in your life, your circumstances, and trying to make them fit. You’re trying to see how neatly you stack up. You know you don’t match, you even know why…but you don’t think about that.
